Hi there,
My name is Keaton and I am a Year 7 student. As part of English this term we have to complete a research topic of our choice. I have chosen the rules of road and track cycling. The catch though is that we can only contact professionals first to get initial info and then we have to back it up via a forum or websites. Any help is very greatly appreciated. My questions for Road Cycling are as follows:
What are some unknown rules?
Can there be a penalty for a rider or spectator who causes a crash?
How can you be disqualified from a race?
Once again, any help is very greatly appreciated. Only taking replies until next Monday or the 25th of August.
Cheers,
Keaton

Keaton, pro cyclists don't tend to use web forums that much. or if they do, they don't announce they are pros.
there are a lot of rules. riding dangerously (veering left and right in a bunch), holding on to another rider or car, taking shortcuts, fitting an electric motor to your bike, doping, public exposure (this is more routine than it may sound) - these will all get you disqualified.

Jump on twitter and try a few there. Some of the aussie pros are very approachable. My recommendation would be Robbie McEwen.
