Cancellara Accused of Battery Doping

Given the amount of publicity, some people actually seem to believe it.
The proof?
Interviewer: "Did any professional cyclist try this on race?"
Interviewee: "The man who gave us this bike said so."
Great stuff.
I'm sold

Meh - awesomely strong dudes with enormous legs like tree trunks do that to me on a regular basis on Saturday afternoon. It kinda looks weird because he can do it seated without rocking the bike.Chaderotti wrote:Cancellaras acceleration did look pretty unnatural....

Facts:
1. An electric motor hidden in the bike would likely put out a maximum of 500W.
2. Each one of Cancellara's legs can put out 146kW. That's 292 times the power output of the alleged electric motor.
3. This happens while the other leg signs autographs or plays chess.
Therefore, the installation of a motor on his bike would be pointless and Fabian would generate enough power to actually fry that motor. So unless you see sparks comming out of his BB shell, there is no motor. You might see smoke coming out the BB shell, that is because Fabian Cancellara can generate enough power to evapourate grease and has been known to spin fast enough to brinnel ceramic bearings. Fabian Cancellara is the Chuck Norris and Dalai Lama of cycling rolled into one.
Don't <expletive> with Spartacus.

When the electromagnetic clutch is engaged, but Cancellara is pedalling, he's generating more power than the motor, so the battery is receiving current not draining (so the motor turns into a generator).
This this case, the battery would in fact overheat, catch fire and melt the seat tube
(however, Jens Voigt doesn't need a seat tube to ride people off his wheel)
but really, that's rubbish. We get none of it because the choices are illusory.

Why does Fabullara wear a black helmet???
Because, of course, that absorbs heat from the sun and the bodies of the riders in the peloton, and with the tiny Peltier device inside his helmet, this generates electricity to power the motor. This way he doesn't need a battery. And how does the power get down to the motor? Have a look in his ear. It's a power lead disguised as an radio earpiece cord. Really, the earpiece has been surgically implanted in his skull, to reduce the aerodynamic drag.

Wow. Impressive. That's more than my old '89 Twin Cam 16 Corolla hot hatch. It used to put out 85kW. No grunt below 3,000rpm, but after that it used to take off like it had an afterburner.Uncle Grumpy wrote:2. Each one of Cancellara's legs can put out 146kW. I hear ya. Shhh, don't tell anyone, but I'm also a knuckle dragging bogan street machiner. The worked 360 in my Chrysler has a stupid cam that does nothing until 3,000. Anything under that it just thumps and pings and scares small children.trailgumby wrote:Wow. Impressive. That's more than my old '89 Twin Cam 16 Corolla hot hatch. It used to put out 85kW. I modelled the motor's specs using an analysis of Cancellara's quads.

The slightly worked AMC 360 in my Jeep was modelled after Cadel Evans - never gets above 1500rpm and is crook 3 weeks out of 4.Uncle Grumpy wrote:The worked 360 in my Chrysler has a stupid cam that does nothing until 3,000. Anything under that it just thumps and pings and scares small children.

Wouldn't be worth the trouble....with an extra 200w I would easily win Paris Roubaix...very easily!!!.John Lewis wrote:Gruber Assist motor. Good for 200W. Wouldn't be worth the trouble.

I guess that depends where the power cord is plugged in.

Chems are bad enough but methinks the first bloke busted using this will get lynched by the peloton.
I reckon maybe it's about time the dopers were catered for, Tour le smack anybody?
