Nevermind Andrew there Kev, I'll be having a go at 200km soon. Want to tag along?Kev365428 wrote:That'd be right. just as I catch up, ya start to go longer.
Bnej, they predicted rain until Sunday for Sydney, but today dawned clean and clear. Never trust the BOM, that's my motto.

When they take a break from racing over Christmas, I'm going to have a go at 160, then maybe a 200 after that.
And hey, all those who have registered on BikeJournal, don't forget to make your journal visible to others, so we can marvel at your accomplishments.

Yeah its been even worse watching you guys clock up the kms too! Yesterday had about 30 degrees bend in the elbow and was in that much pain couldn't even get my fork above my chest to eat my tea. Today, almost have full bend and only hurts when I try to lift something or put pressure on it. Reckon I'm gonna be back in the chase way before expected

I am with Kev on this one .... I think it adds to the "competitive" spirit of this if we can see how the km are made made up.Kev365428 wrote:And hey, all those who have registered on BikeJournal, don't forget to make your journal visible to others, so we can marvel at your accomplishments.
You know we the can go and see how creative Kev is is logging his "kilometres" for example
In BikeJournal.com just go to Riders -> Edit My Profile -> Unclick Private Data. This just makes your journal available to us

I'll have you know that all my km are legit. They must be 'cause my legs are killing me and I seem to be forever cleaning the darn bike and chain.

I tried to catch Needsapush this morning by riding in the gym at the hotel to no avail. My shoelaces got caught in the pedals and as soon as you stop pedalling the stupid bike's electronics switch-off! Had to estimate my distance based on the last noted reading before I stopped.
Find taking a book to read while I rode helped.
Will try a Polaris machine tomorrow.

Cheers mate, however maybe I should of listened to Richard's wise advice a bit more. The ribs paid the price and hurt like hell in bed last night. You'd think I'd learn a valuable lesson but headed out with the mrs for a ride when we got upAushiker wrote: Boy are back in the chase with vengeance. Well done on the recovery ride ... 96.66 km! Ahhhh painkillers!
I'd suggest a well deserved rest mate! Please! Your killing me with your rides to work. I do an hour some mornings commuting but on the mtb with the racks loaded up can only get in about 22kms.Kev365428 wrote: I'll have you know that all my km are legit. According to the polar personal trainer site my November rides total 739.8 km's. How does that compare to others here?

Bummer. A dumb question but I assume you are going to the homepage directly and getting the problem? I know that with some views the menus disappear.Blybo wrote:Yep. Still no menus this morning. i sent an email to comments(AT)bikejournal.com letting them know.

I just login which takes me to my home page. Certainly no menus there where they were before. I also noticed that making my journal public is now only available to premium members. I thought that I still had a week or 2 of introductory premium member benefits too...Aushiker wrote: Bummer. To log a ride now I have to use a link to edit my profile, I submit changes, and then my journal comes up which I can then use the + button.

Happy to say I'm safe and not at a bottom of a well. Did it on Sundays ride and it wasn't too crazy as the road was smooth and pretty straight. Don't think I'd fancy falling off with just shorts and a jersey on thoughTriple B wrote:Needsapush, I see your top speed is 81.92 km/h
I'm new to this game, but that seems mighty quick. Did you ride into a well or something??
