Cinelli Vegan Eco leather bar tape (ditto about the brown, beautiful tape though)

That Brooks looks like a B17 Champion Sprinter or Flyer. Both where narrow racing saddles from the 50' and 60's usually intended for the track.

Ah is that what it is. Yeah champ sprinter, might even be 60s vintage like you said. Not sure its a keeper yet.

My Steel build. 1994 Giant Perigee that I picked up from Bicycle Recycle, built up with spare parts in Ultegra 6700 brifters, derailleurs, 6800 crankset, 5700 brakes, 9000 BB, 600 headset, Pro LTD stem and a Fizik Aliante saddle.

^^ How bizarre ... I saw a Giant Perigee just today and had to google it to find out what is was and here is one popping up on the forum !!

The one I saw was more of a cross/hybrid bike. The owner said it used to be a flatbar which he'd converted to drops. It looked like this one...but without the front suspension fork.

Yeah they weren't high end and I struggled to find much info on them, I must say its typical Giant quality and rides like a dream, whoever had it before me looked after it as its pretty much rust free and things like the BB threads were in pristine condition. The frame only set me back $70 and everything else I already had

The Perigee was a hybrid thing in its original form. The slack geometry would turn it into quite a nice touring-type bike. Given its Chro-mo frame, it doesn't seem all that high-end by most measures, but in its time it was toward the upper end of its range (noting of course that regardless of vintage, "high-end" hybrid is something of an oxymoron and more just nudging at mid-range in overall terms).

That is really nice.

I put some different bar tape on my Giant TCR, some quite nice Specialized branded stuff that really softens bumps through the bars. It was difficult to put on and I didn't do the greatest job of it by my standards. But this little guy seemed to approve:

Hi All, A few pics of this mornings ride, the first real test on the new stead other than a few commutes. Passed the test nicely!





Had to ditch the brown brooks btw.
Gotta admit was puffing a bit on that last section to skyhigh. Still can't get under 30 mins on the 1in20 either! About the same times as the Bianchi Infinito CV. What I did enjoy was the Di2 on those hills! Didn't really appreciate it until this morning.

Anyway lots of fun and a great sunny morning for it.

Yeah, this bike moves really well. It's just a kilo or so heavier than my TCR SL1 and a tad heavier than my older CAAD9.
The difference in speed is almost negligible.
The difference in comfort is tangible.
