Here is my new frame I just bolted all my old gear on, still have some set up tweaks to do and a steerer to cut, haven't ridden it outside yet, I'll look at upgrading various things later in the year, I may even switch to the giddying heights of 10 speed, who needs that many gears?

My husband has a M.H.Jones road racer built for him by Milton Jones in 1983. Andy tells me he met with Spike on several ocassions and was measured up. The frame was made from some fancy Japanese 017 metal and then fitted out for him by Spike. Apparently Milton even cut Andy's initials into the frame. Andy had many good racing seasons on this bike, sadly it now sits neglected and in very poor condition. Im trying to convince Andrew to let the bike go and pass it on to a young man, who will restore it, ride it and get joy out it. Im not having much luck! Am I being insensitive? It would be so nice to see this bike on the road again. We both still ride for leisure but old age is catching up with us...

Post up some piccies. It would be a pity for him to let it go though if it was custom made. However I am sure there is plenty of guy's on here who would be willing to take on a project.

Thank you for your reply. I will take some photos in the morning and try my best to post them. My computer skills are somewhat limited.

Recently but up my ideal (or at least close to ideal as funds permitted) Wayward Cape York Disc (10.35kgs)

In short: Ultegra 11sp (50/34, 12-25), Ritchey Comp cockpit, Dynamo lighting (SP Dynamo hub, Edelux II), Pacenti SL25 rims.

I normally don't really like the look of Treks, but that one is the exception for sure. Nice, not over done, not under done, just right.

Love the red bar tape. Just sets of the highlights on the frame and makes it look oh so fast:)

Hey charlie!

ahaha wish i had the cash to restore cars!

Yeah, mixing it up a bit with off road stuff, enjoying it heaps! have only had a few runs at the camel farm with a mate showing me the way but i think im hooked.

Have since sold the cannondale and replaced with something a little more suitable for trails

couldnt resist this clearance special recently and i do love my lugged steel roadies. 10 speed ultegra at the back and DT shifters actually work really lovely with 10 speed.
really lovely smooth ride 9.5kgs. the saddle will have to get put in a box and get replaced with a b17 narrow though , cos now Ive got a brooks bottom theres no going backImage

The 2013 version of my bike. :) Looks slightly smaller than mine (I have 54cm), my saddle is higher and I've got an almost slammed stem, which is just how my bike worked out.

How much does yours weigh with those wheels and that saddle?
