haha, the bar tape was already on the bars when I bought it. It came with the frame, bars, forks an shifters. Im new to all this so wasn't sure whether I can take it off and redo it or whether its 'stickiness' is a once only. After my second ride on it they were kind of squeaky and after 30km noticed that the tape had slipped and there was a gap. Any hints would be great.

Just pull it real tight OK.

Search back far enough and you'll find that is what I was told when I asked the question as a drop bar n00b

What's going on with the rear brake cable routing on the Gitane? Are the cable stops missing/damaged?

No, that cable is between the battery pack and light up front. Its just wound around the tt to get rid of any slackness.
Ive just put the battery pack under the seat.

Weight- 8kgs dead as is without jewelry
Nice.. These things are severely underrated..

One of our local pros (Satalyst) has an aluminium TCR as his training bike - says it is a really great bike, just a bit 'heavy.' I 'spose it is compared to his race bike!

I recently shod my CAAD10 (58cm) Ult6800, with Fulcrum Racing Zeros and it is now down to 8.02Kg - with cages, lights and Garmin mount - which is fairly good I reckon.

These aluminium bikes are quite under-rated.

Enjoy the bike.

Noice.

I've thinking of doing the same but with FR1s and 105 :-). Which BB30 adapter did you use? Notice any change in Q factor?

Im using Wheels Mfg adapter and it works very well - no issue with Q factor.
