My SS bike I built up in December.

I love riding this thing, but really miss the gears for the downhills.

06 Surly Pacer frame, Reynolds Ouzo fork, CK headset, 08 Centaur groupset, DT Swiss RR 1.2 rims on 28H DT 240 hubs. Thomson seatpost, Toupe saddle. 105 pedals.

This is my main training and racing bike now. In fact, I won the first crit I did on this setup :D

Nice one... watch out, I'm stalking you. Saw you and 2 mates having coffee at Manto on the Parade a couple of weeks ago. Some really interesting bikes the three of you had.

So what happened to the Teschner (looks a trifle too big for me anyway)?

Oh yeah - I remember seeing a couple of other cyclists there!

One of my mates was on his backup/trianing bike - a 90s Pinarello, it is a very cool ride (I like it better than his Giant that he races on).

Teschner frame will be getting sold at some stage. I have a similarly proportioned friend who may be interested, otherwise will go on fleabay. Its a ~62cm ST and ~61 cm TT if you know anyone who's interested...

nah... mine's a 55 x 55... perfect for a tubby little turd. Yours looks to be an original Scandium w/ carbon stays, very nice bike indeed. There was one popped up for sale in the US, never built up frame and fork set, guy wanted US$800. It was my size; I almost cried.

Maybe theyre commission based :D

I think the main thing with the Fiziks is that they are pretty narrow - fine if you have closely spaced sit bones but if not then... see toolonglegs's post!

I cant decide between the Arione the Aliante and the Gobi. I like them all, and have used the first 2 on this bike, which is unusual as most people have a clear preference!

 Well I'll be....

A Sweetpost for a sweet frame, Pegoretti could certainly label their frames "Craftsmen Built".

My "fast" ride......

Image
A different picture.

Cecil Walker 853 frame, Campagnolo Chorus components, Centaur compact crank, Deda head stem and bars, Deda CF seat post, Mavic Open pro rims, Columbus full CF fork, Selle Italia Flite titanium seat, Chris King Aheadset.
One of the many things I like about this bike is the traditional frame sizing, and the pearl white paint, and the quality components and the ......... :)

Thanks.
Looking at the pics above I see that the Pegoretti is yours.
Not a brand I have heard of, but then I am always learning.
The tube joins look super cool, the Cecil's joins are a bit bulkier.
Nice bike, must be fairly light with the carbon bits?
What tubing does it have?

Columbus Spirit steel. My preference would have been to put all alloy Record/Chorus if I could get it NOS. But it was too hard to source. Dont know what it weighs to be honest.
