New steed after my Azzuri got stolen a few weeks ago, Merida Scultura 5000 disc. So far after a few rides I can say its a great ride, fast with enough compliance to be comfortable :) Definitely a disc convert now, just too good.

Getting used to the pink, no stock left of the green option, but I guess I'm comfortable enough in myself to rock it :)

Nice. That's the now defunct Lampre team pink.

2003 Giant TCR Composite 0 as my new commuter with mostly 5500 parts, other than 5600 shifters. Surprising light at 8.5kg as is.

They're attractive alright. I finally got my 2004 TCR C0 (7800) home. I gave i a quick tweak and put it on the scales for 7.8kg with pedals.

Mine might be a touch too small for me... though still a go-er of course. I wonder if i should bother swapping the velocities for my bontragers. I might have to go the extra mile if it passes the decent-sized-ride test :)

I've seen some of those as project bikes that turned out very, very light with the right wheels on them and a few other select components. For the time period, really surprising.

Image

I'm still riding that Giant - I can't really think how many kilometres it has, surely a lot. It has been just about everywhere, and shortly it'll be over in Europe. The only thing changed is the stem and the alloy wheels I've put back on it, along with the Dura Ace brake calipers which are way better than Planet X. As it is there, the best combination for serious stopping power.

Not many decals/logos.
Tiagra crankset with the newish 4 spoke design,
popular TRP mechanical disc.

50/34 and 11-32t is almost standard now on anything less than a full on racing/aero bike. Someone in our group bought a fairly expensive titanium bike with ultegra di2 and those gear ratios.

Really? 50-34 and 11-32 should take you up some of the worst climbs, assuming the bike isn't a super heavy thing.

Only one of my bikes is 50-34, the others are all 53-39. And 11-25 for the lot.

- Very understated logos. The few that are on it are reflective, which is a nice touch.

- 4700 Tiagra. As good as, if not better than, 5700 105. I have/had 2 x 4700 groups (one on here, one lightly used set in a box), 2 x 2014 or so Force on bikes, and 2 x 5700 105 (one on a neo-retro, one new set in a box). I reckon the Tiagra is nearly the best of the lot.

- TRP Spyre (the OEM all-black version of the Spyre). Pulls me at 88kg plus bike and backpack up pretty well. Hydro discs were a cost stretch I couldn't make.

- Haven't checked total weight. Certainly a little added beef with the stock wheels, they'd be first upgrade if and when the time comes. But it's no tank, either.

- Rarely in 34/32 unless I'm lazy. Still getting used to bigger rear, have a tendency to cross-chain a bit when I forget which front ring I am on. Very comfortable to sit mid-4 on the back and just swap front rings up and down.

- I even left the pie plate on cause I just couldn't be bothered taking the cassette off to get at it 8)

None from Wattamolah though, the bike would have been blown over if I'd tried to take a photo. I came back yesterday and rode around old Razorback (a couple of laps of Razorback) and Camden. :)

Ritchey Breakaway (54cm)
Got the frame of a fellow member here and built with:
- SRAM eTap Groupo (only so it's easier to break the frame without having to worry about cables and re-tuning after rebuilding)
- DA 9000 compact cranks/12-28 DA 11s Cassette
- Ritchey carbon handlebars
- Cinelli VIA stem/seat post
- Ritchey WCS Zeta II wheelset with removable hub
- Vittoria graphene 25c tyres
- Elite Cuissi bottle cages
- SMP Saddle but looking to change it (Celeste colour is a requirement though  )

Using this bike for everything: Group rides, discovery rides, gravel, commuting, touring and I've broken the frame to fit into its custome luggage and took it with me to ol' Sydney for a few days

My new - old single speed a Create branded one which appears to be from the UK

I has a mis match of parts I had lying around apart from the new brake shifters. Still need to look at putting some better brake calipers and tyres on it and give it a maiden run to work. Need to put a black seat on it to go for the all black look

I took my Pinarello Montello to Eastern Creek Raceway and rode laps for a few hours for charity. Found this great photo courtesy of Getty Images.

Upgrade time - 11 speed on the Trek Madone 4.5. It has Dura Ace 9000 derailleurs and brifters, 380mm Bontrager Race Lite Aero Handlebars.

Brakes and crankset are standard Ultegra items, wheels are Giant alloy. Whole bike is 7.6kg at the moment, so it turned out very nice. Most of the parts were from another bike. I did get it out for a short 20km test ride and was quite satisfied with how it went. 8)

Still to do:
More comfortable saddle, Dura Ace crankset and some nicer carbon Bontrager branded bottle cages to complete it.

I bought a new Cervelo S3 from a country LBS for an absolute cracking price because it was last years colour.

Love the colour and spec. Always wanted a Cervelo. This one replaces a Giant TCR Advanced TDF.

A 2014 Giant TCR Advanced SL1 never was available like this one. SRAM Red E-tap, SRAM Red Aero Link brakes and Xentis 2.5SL wheels. Stem is Pro Vibe 7S. The cranks are standard Dura Ace 53/39 and the cassette is Dura Ace 11-25.
