767km , 10,392m up for Feb.
Putting me at 1296.1km / 20,820m for the year. Comfortable 300km or so up my sleeve.

93km is one ride away and winter in Sydney is often the best time to ride when all this vile heat has gone. You can do it.JohnJoyner wrote:Good stuff to those ahead of their target... Mine is just that little bit away & I can't catch it... Wet weather is on the way. And then comes winter. Thinking I am pushing the proverbial uphill here...

All very good points Hergest & Cardy George. When you factor in kids, an upcoming change of jobs & the possibility of no end of trip facilities, a wedding & honeymoon later in the year... Maybe I was ambitious. But I will be doing my very best to get there...Cardy George wrote:And then there's four months on the other side where the weather is improving every dayHergest wrote:93km is one ride away and winter in Sydney is often the best time to ride when all this vile heat has gone. You can get there. I've ridden in pouring rain and seen snow overseas when riding, so I'm never going to complain about winter here.JohnJoyner wrote:Good stuff to those ahead of their target... That said, I much prefer riding in warm weather. 30 degrees C is nice.

Thanks G-boaf... I know I struggle getting out of bed that 30 mins earlier in winter, if I want to ride to work. It's dark & cold. I have lived in the UK & Ireland & know our winters are great in comparison. Doesn't mean I enjoy frozen fingers on those 2 degree mornings..
I am originally from Perth & definitely enjoy high 20's - low 30's...
6 degrees KB... Autumn is only 7 days old...

Specialized makes these quite heavy winter gloves, they are a godsend for winter mornings, very warm. Agree with you, winter is not nice for early morning riding.JohnJoyner wrote:Doesn't mean I enjoy frozen fingers on those 2 degree mornings..

Early morning jaunt to the Dandenongs in Melbourne’s east. Due to slackness with laundry I was sporting my lightest summer kit. Oops.skull wrote:Whereabouts are you?kb wrote: Was 6° and windy this morning. Still sweated though

Been travelling for work for the last three weeks so limited time at home to ride.
Need to try and get back in front next week, or at least closer, as away on leave the week after.

First flat tyre of the year (a sharp litle stone that went right through my rear tyre) was not fun, but good to be back spinning the pedals again in cooler weather...

Contrary to popular advice on cycling forums, I'll be keeping off the bike until I have recovered.
At least I have been in good fitness until now.
