Update. I should give a plug to Cyclingdeals of Melbourne. I bought some rim tape on E-Bay on Wednesday evening and it arrived on my (Sydney) doorstep this afternoon (Thursday). How good is that?

Rear tyre was flat as I was preparing to leave work on Wednesday. 3rd puncture in as many weeks.
Another piece of radial wire breaching the Marathon Plus.
3rd for this quarter. 7th for the year (in a year I'm not even doing serious commuting miles)

must have been all the debris washed into the road following Wednesday night evening storms in SE Melbourne - front wheel and nearly lost it on a bend on gravel path - kicking myself for crap skillz then realised had a flat as hit tarmac - irony.... tidying out garage at weekend found some unused rim tape, tubeless valves and sealant and set up a pair of wheels tubeless to put on the bike i grabbed - wheels still sat demonstrating holding pressure next to washing machine

Puncture #4 today on the M5. I rode over something sharp, which I was unable to identify, and the tyre went completely flat in 50 metres. I removed the tube and checked the inside of the tyre very carefully in case there was a sharp object still in it (I've been caught before). I fitted my spare tube and refitted the wheel, but, when I came to blow up the tyre, it would not inflate at all. As I was only carrying one spare tube, I had to admit defeat and telephone my wife to come and collect me.
When I got home I removed the wheel, located and repaired the "new" puncture (the one in the tube I had been carrying as a spare) and had a super careful look at the tyre to see what, if anything I might have missed. Finally I tackled the "original" puncture, but, when I blew up the tube to find the hole, I was able to inflate it without any trouble, and it remained inflated.
I missed most of my ride and had to go to the favour bank with my wife. I cannot state beyond reasonable doubt what happened, but it seems highly likely that, when I was doing my original tube swap on the M5, I took out the punctured tube and then put it back. Perhaps this post belongs in the "dumb cyclists and pedestrians" thread.

Sat on the couch all winter and drank red wine by the fire.
Can't say I didn't enjoy it, but it screwed with my sleep and a kilo or 5 went on.
Back on the bike for about 7 weeks now. I'll scrape in at 7.5k for the year.
Got a puncture in the front Conti GP4000S2 yesterday.
A slow leak, nothing found in the tyre.
Binned the tyre when I got home as it was starting to perish as IME Contis are bad for when they age.
I have a couple of 23c gp4s to get through, then I am done with them.
Gone to rubino pro in a 25c. Much better value at 23- a tyre and they grip, wear and roll well.

And to add to that - another tube exploded while the bike was at home on the stand. It just went Psssshhhhh - loudly! that’s all for last year.g-boaf wrote:Cut in the sidewall of the rear tyre- slow leak. I had sealant in the tube and it at least let me ride the remaining 12km home.

Formally, Aussie brand Pedalit have been great in supporting the comp and looking after the unlucky, lucky winners - and with their genuine environmentally conscious approach to their bike products, are a brand that I can personally recommend.
Please shout-out if you feel there is a clear winner - otherwise, well done for everyone who has been more active in puncture avoidance. I got one for the year which was manageable and also fixed a few more for friends and family.
