Why can't something as Chic as this happen to me when I go riding?

Best I can do is getting run down by a shortsighted 85YO woman running a red light in an '02 Corolla ..

I was thinking that maybe this is an early form of the 'Make em pay rego/Run em off the road/Punch em in the head" birds/initiatives ..
I was also startled to see the Tioga pannier rack on the bike?
