I want to use the Quadlock system for attaching my mobile phone to my handlebars. My phone is a Galaxy Note 8 which means that I have to use the Quadlock Universal kit. I was going to use a tech21 Evocheck case but have been advised by the manufacturer that this make of case is not compatible with the 3m adhesive tape i.e. I assume it won't stick.
Can anyone, who had a similar situation, tell me how they overcame this problem.
My options are to:-
1. Buy a different brand of case that is suitable. In this case if someone could give me a name that would be good.
2. See if using Superglue would work. Has anyone done this?
3. Look at a different bracket. Not keen as I have done a lot of research and consider that Quadlock is the way to go.
Thanks in advance for any help and / or suggestions.

If you're not too worried about keep the Tech21 case pristine, may I suggest you just tape off an area of the back of the case with masking tape, the approx. size of the Quadlock mount, and then sand it until roughed up and the superficial veneer is removed. The adhesive will then stick.

Thank you. I am purchasing a case specifically for using on the bike and so your idea is a good one. Alternatively, I will try a different case, providing I can confirm that it does not have the tech21 problem. Any suggestions?

I had a similar situation to you, and got a hard shell polycarbonate case off eBay for my Sony phone to use with the Quadlock universal mount. Something like this should work:

Thank you.
This seems to be the easiest way to go providing that I can find a polycarbonate case for the Note 8 which is a larger phone than most.
Thank you once again.

My wife has had a tech21 case with a universal Quadlock mount for years. No issue with the adhesive, though the fabric type case surface may be different from the EvoCheck.
