Nup, got a 4" lift kit and airbags on the Navara on Friday so I had to spend the weekend polishing my diff and axles.. Very important stuff in the boys toys department!

The Kayak event, the swim event, and the 4 inch lift kit I can understand!
And nope Lex, mate I LIVE in Prestons so the M7 is on my back door but you couldn't really call it challenging or a hell of a lot fun after you've done it a few hundred times could you??

and I agree that people could (and a lot do) ride on the same route as the Bobbin Head classic every day of the week for free, though I doubt they had the marshaling and support we got, a fair whack of the proceeds went to Turramurra Rotary if I remember correctly.

Hopefully will see you out there one day soon!

Retired mate,have the luxury of cycling in safety for a few hours each day, nice to get out and about and enjoy it

I don't get bored on the M7c, if i want a change of scenery i go out to Richmond etc, sometimes i do both . The main thing for me is the riding, not where i ride or what events i do, I don't do mass events and I don't race, i just enjoy riding a bike.

That explains it! I was wondering how you're putting 3-4 hrs a day on!!! Lucky bugger! I normally just do the events for a change of scenery, sure you get idiots etc but get them everywhere anyway. The loop out to Wisemans and back is good from the M7/Richmond Rd.

Hi all,

Riding to and from the start of the 100km ride I managed just on 148kms for the day. It was a well run ride especially considering first time.

The end of ride festivities were good, I smashed that BBQ and having a bike shop bring so much gear, good job Blackmans Cycles.

Some people do not like paying to ride their normal ride, and I know some of them who enjoyed te powerade and bananas at one of the rest stops whilst on their normal ride. The good people of Rotary were happy to feed/water anyone who was asking.

It was a fun event, I talked to a lot of riders and climbed just over 2,500 metres. Sad not to make the metric ton, considered doing a lap of SOP on way home but quite honestly I did not have anything left in the tank.

The Police did a good job escorting and by all accounts there were not injuries/accidents! Will be back in '13 if I do not succumb to a car door on Lilyfield Road.
