I don't know what's more upsetting, the puddle of blood or my sexy face  My riding mate today Derryn took an almost National Geographic approach to documenting the situation.

rogan, once I hit the kerb at speed my first thought was "argghhh my BIKE". Perhaps that's why my face did all the heavy lifting of the deceleration. Bike was just about fine - front wheel out of true, sidewall ripped around 4 cms. Two cash notes around the tube, sorted. Got the bike fixed at Park Bikes in SOP. Massive kudos for them - gave me some water and disinfectant to fix myself up, got the bike fixed and took it for a quick test ride afterward. Really went above and beyond; wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone. Main concern was the handlebars twisting a bit during the prang - 4nm on the carbon steerer gives me the heeby jeebies. I guess I should have been more worried about the smashed up face, but bodies heal and quite frankly HTFU LADIES 8)

Good on you mate, for getting back up. Going over is never good, and that sounds pretty bad.

Ebay has all the answers ;) I find saving the searches and restricting to Australia really helps. quarq, srm, powertap, that should cover all your bases. If you're feeling ritzy, the SRM FSA Gossamer crank is only about 2200 bucks new - pricey, but super cheap for an SRM spider!

Decent weather so far today - I might be down at Prestons tonight around 7:00pm.

What's the bet we get a storm this afternoon though...

The Sunnyholt Bolt gets to Elizabeth at 7, another 20-30 and you should have some company :) I am hoping to be there.

I now have a matching white stripe on my bike & clothes. Why couldn't they have spilled black paint?
Just spent 2 mins trying to pick it off the frame but got bored so I guess it's staying for now.

Apologies to g-boaf. I was the only one that went on to Prestons but since it was just me I turned around at the bollard.
