At least when it rains after you start you can't use it as an excuse to bail on the ride.

Must be a bit more weather like this around the corner. The humidity all weekend was bad and today it is just insane. Some people will try to tell you summer is over.
No way, summer in SE Qld coastal areas finishes in early April.
Autumn is from mid April to mid May and then it will be winter (thank goodness)

I can't believe it!

Two rides this week, just over 190km covered and not a single shower of rain

So I should be safe to wash the bike...

After another dry 78km ride today, I've degreased my chain and washed the bike.

Should be raining by err around 05:00 Monday morning (next ride)...

Qld weather venting posts

Postby PiratePete » Sat Mar 21, 2015 9:22 am

Sitting at a cafe at Sandgate ATM, was drizzling when I left home (Acacia Rdge) through to town but have been dry since..

I can't believe that I had managed to keep the bike clean for over 3 weeks/600km.

Woke up, checked the radar - good, shower activity is over the bay and not heading in :D jumped out of bed and into the lycra, still dark, who cares!

Ten minutes later riding to the river loop through Rocklea and it's pouring down... Riding along at St Lucia wondering why I hadn't seen any other bikes, oh that's right its RAINING!

Good news - No one caught up to me today  It's a good thing I'm not made of sugar!

I have noticed a number of very large, new pot holes on the roads this morning that seem to have been caused by the weekends rain. Keep an eye out and stay safe!

I'm actually happy about it in a way, forces me to rest rather than try and do 3 cubic metres of concrete :) .
