No hurtin on this ride, as I have, well hope to have, a meet at Caboolture Velodrome this afternoon.
Bribie Tri tomorrow, so there will be more than enough hurtin for the weekend.

7th in the Teams bike leg and my team 13th overall. Pretty happy with that.

Campbells Pocket Rd is a good climb. From Basin Rd to Jackson Rd is about 2.5km. Last time I did it a few weeks ago it took me about 18 minutes. I was pretty chuffed with that considering the first time I did that climb a few years ago it took me about 45 minutes. My bike is pretty heavy too.
The first couple hundred metres from Basin Rd is the steepest part. Then the road drops again and you lose all the altitude you just gained. Then settle in for a constant climb of about 8% or so. After Jackson Rd it undulates all the way to Mt Mee Rd with some steep climbs if you want to go that far. Alternatively take Tidwell Rd then Pedwell Rd for a quieter option to Mt Mee.
Jackson Rd has some dirt sections but it will take you back down to Old North Rd opposite Bellmere Rd which you can take back in to Cabo.

The weather was hot and humid as I'm trundling along on the front, I notice what I thought was some rubbish on the road but as I got closer, it moved and raised a claw at me. WTH, it was a bloody mud crab. Pics to follow.

Have fun on Campbell's. Just watch for cars on the blind cornors on the descent.

Why is it when the wind is that strong the weather gods conspire to ensure the wind is never at your back? [emoji38]

Bribie Island is a weird place in the wind, because you get lots of swirling and cross winds but not that many places with it at our backs.

Pulled some time back on a couple of the younger ones this morning, so I was happy with that but it was interesting to do an analysis against them, to see where they were faster and it surprised me on how many spots I was quicker and how far into it that I was stronger. If only I could train four days a week, at a minimum, instead of two days.
