Move Safe Brisbane

Postby ValleyForge » Thu Aug 09, 2018 2:13 pm

The Brisbane City Council is asking for feedback regarding pedestrian & cyclist safety.

Having a bit of inside information - the Council is really motivated to improve both pedestrian & cyclist safety - especially in the CBD.

Thanks for the link. I spent a bit of time with the interactive map marking infrastructure that needs improving.

I didn't realise this but the Brisbane City Council's expenditure on infrastructure exceeds that of Victoria. No, not Melbourne; the Victorian state government.

Just think squeaky wheels; I would love to see the Roma St pedestrian/cycle flyover committed to as well as a Stanley St/Annerly Rd pedestrian/cycle flyover funded. Neither will happen unless there is state funding committed.
