Barossa bike hire

Postby RobertL » Tue Apr 04, 2017 10:36 am

Hi all, I will be heading to the Barossa for the Vintage Festival next week. I've been there a few times, but never hired a bike before. The tourist information mentions bike hire being available, but I thought that I'd seek advice from the local experts on BNA.

So, what options are there available for hiring some basic flatbar style bikes for a saunter around the wineries? This will be for a group with mixed riding abilities.
What about hiring road bikes for a serious ride - is that possible?
Are there any group rides or shop rides in the area?
Are there any routes or rides that anyone can recommend?

Thanks.

Bump

I know this was a pre-china virus post, but I'm thinking of trying a couple of hire bikes to see if riding a blue oval WR for 15+ years is going to make a eMTB seem far too under powered for me.

Velo-porte web site is gone, but domain registered with Melb IT ( they must have been rich ) and DNS is still pointing to WIX :)
