Saw a brown sunning itself on Wallaroo Road today...I'm claiming a record for early sightings

There's a lot of snakes around at the moment up at QLD, every ride I have to dodge 1 or 2 snakes on the road. Never seen anything like it. Usually see at least a few dead snakes from being run over by cars.

Came across a 1m brown snake crossing the path in Weston between the LBG and the parkway bridge last Tuesday morning, needless to say I kept my distance and let it get well clear before proceeding.

Yes but by law snakes in NSW aren't allowed on bike paths!

Seriously - living in Sydney 99.9% of the snakes I've seen have been in zoos!

Came across a small brown snake on the path just after Scrivener Dam bridge (heading towards the city) this morning. Managed to bunny hop the front wheel but sadly ran over it with my rear wheel. It still managed to slide off into the grass so I hope it was OK - I wasn't hanging around to see though.
