DIffererent routes each week (2). *Must have CA licence for insurance

Does anyone know if the rides requiring CA licence for insurance, allow for other sources of insurance such as Pedal Power membership?

Great info in this thread so far.

Can someone tell me which bunches have a good representation of riders in their late 20s - early 30s? I find its often more enjoyable ridingwith people of similar age.

I can only comment on the groups I ride in but both the Vikings Norman ride on Friday and the Bilbys ride on Wednesday have a good representation of 20-30 yo's. I know a few of the ANU team riders who do both groups, for example. The younger riders tend to be more in the slower groups however (medium and below). Having said that, most of the socialising happens at the cafe afterwards and not on the actual rides.

Are the above rides mostly still current? Bringing my bike to Canberra for a few days at the end of Feb and basically have nothing to do. Would be interested in joining any bunch rides that go at a medium pace. Not especially fit at the moment!

Yes they are mostly still current, if you are looking for medium pace then Wednesday morning Bilbys and Friday Vikings Norman have multiple different paced groups, I think the ride shop rides are also more medium paced (I've never actually been to one, I assume they are still running).

I wish. I'd be happy if I could make it through one night without waking up 3 or 4 times...
