Vulnerable road users accounted for a third of the ACT's worst road toll in five years, it can be revealed.

About one in three people who died or were injured on Canberra roads last year were cyclists, pedestrians and motorcyclists, according to the 2015 ACT Road Crash Report.

Lots more interesting statistics in the full article but it is a bit skewed, just listing the various categories of road users involved in collisions as a % of total collisions but not saying who was actually to blame. So it looks bad to say 1/3 of traffic incidents involved cyclists/motor cyclists or pedestrians but if these were all caused by cars/trucks/buses then it looks worse for these vehicles rather than the vulnerable road users.
