Lol, was solidly miserable for about half the ride and it is getting worse. Completely denched!

Gaa! The weather was horrid as I was getting ready to leave, so I bailed and did the train/bus/walk combo thing. Not a single drop of rain :( I did manage to squeeze in a run before the thunderstorm hit though. That certainly made my run training exciting! :D

I managed to squeeze into a bus shelter as it hit, waited out the rain and hail only to get utterly drenched within 60 seconds of riding off - a car coming the other way found the mother of all (hail filled) puddles.

Much nicer this morning!

I skipped riding this morning because wifey informed me that this mornings weatehr report included thunderstorms and hail ... ended up on public transport looking out wondering why I wasn't on my bike -.-

Was quite happy last night to have a boat license, was thoroughly soaked- bike is well and truly overdue for a proper service (new BB and headset bearings, trued wheels)!

This morning was better- some rather large puddles blocking roads and paths though.

Yeah, I'm not riding home in that.
I put on my wet weather gear but didn't need it in the end. Wet roads but no rain until 10 minutes after I got home.

I know. I went public transport and there was not a drop of rain between work and home.

i was in the same boat. looked outside and made the executive decision to leave work a bit early. got home with only a sprinkle at the end of my ride. This morning was a no ride due to leaving at 6am and it was bucketing down. wussed out and took public transport. Looks like it would have been a great ride home tonight too.

Skipped yesterday, probably would have stayed dry in the morning, probably would have got wet on the way home. Woke up to rain this morning, but it looked like a decent gap coming on the radar so I kitted up anyway. By the time I was ready to leave it was raining, but not hard and what looked like only 10 mins worth left. Then I noticed I had a flat, so 10 mins later when I'd changed it the rain had stopped and I had a beautiful ride in on the wet roads, a little late, but it was nice

Would have been a wise idea to take a canoe instead of a bike during yesterday's weather.

The weather is hitting that awkward crossroads where it's a bit too cool for shorts and shorts sleeved jersey (for me at least) but much more and you sweat up pretty quickly. This morning was a skins top plus thin climbers jersey which seemed to be about right. Looking forward to a couple more degrees and some sunshine, more and more of both directions of the commute are in a least partial daylight.

Hmmm... Not really the case this morning. At 16 odd, Knicks and a short sleeved top with a Gilet or baselayer would have been ok.
You've just gotta bare the first couple of cooler km's, and by then you'll be warm enough.

With little cloud cover over the next couple of days though, the next few mornings are going to get a bit colder.

That's exact what I had this morning, Knicks, base layer and climbers short sleeved jersey. Looking forward to putting the base layer, long sleeved jersey and long pants away for 9 months

Keeping the shoe covers in my bag with the rain coat until the threat of rain lifts though.

It will, but the sub-5 degree starts will be the exception rather than the norm

Bit cooler this morning, but not unpleasant, and a rare, albeit light, tailwind from the south this morning.

Not quite as warm as Monday/Tuesday today. Gillette / shower jacket and shorts was just enough. I still got cold toes with thermal socks / toe covers though.

Went with the short finger gloves again today after the warmth yesterday, and almost regretted it, warmed up pretty fast, though I did get cold toes.

Back to long jersey (no base layer), long pants, shoe covers and short gloves, think I judged it about right, sweaty but not uncomfortable after a pretty quick 27kms
