Was pretty nice out though once the sun came up, especially since I kept the speed low enough I didn't break out in a sweat with all the layers on. Need to get myself some of those photochromatic glasses though

Felt fine to me, it just means that I felt less clammy under the spray jacket.

My ears and fingers will agree with that. Very frosty.ColinOldnCranky wrote:The radio tells me that Jandakot was 0.4C this morning.
Warmed up a little then back down to 0 in Kings Park.
Can't remember having so many layers on at once.

My bike GPS was reading 3degrees along the PSP / freeway. Thats a -5 wind chill at 40km/hr brrrrrrrrp wrote:Stupidly cold this morning. Kudos to those who jumped on their bikes - I had an easier time leaving at 9am when the sun was out.

it really is a spectacle to behold on days like this. How lucky are we that we can ride longside such an awesome vista.mikedufty wrote:Really nice this morning, glassy river full of dolphins and hardly any traffic on the bike path.

Got my first wet sandy butt on the ride home, might need to invest in some mud guards!jaseyjase wrote:bit of spitting rain on the way home, wet enough to flick up all the grime onto the bike...ugh

unlikely to need more than an "ass saver" in Perth, keeps the worst off on the rare wet daysMububban wrote:Got my first wet sandy butt on the ride home, might need to invest in some mud guards!jaseyjase wrote:bit of spitting rain on the way home, wet enough to flick up all the grime onto the bike...ugh

It only rains 3 days a year in Perth so why worry plus it's only sand and not clay/mud. A quick rinse down of the bike and off you go.Robinho wrote:unlikely to need more than an "ass saver" in Perth, keeps the worst off on the rare wet daysMububban wrote:Got my first wet sandy butt on the ride home, might need to invest in some mud guards!jaseyjase wrote:bit of spitting rain on the way home, wet enough to flick up all the grime onto the bike...ugh
