Yes, It descended on me while I was on Old Yanchep Rd. Visibility was about 80m Yet some drivers were still tanking along at 90Kph.
One of them skimming my bars for good measure.

Beautiful Sunday morning, I'm looking forward to 5C this weekend. :D

Funny you should mention that.
Was listening to 6pr on Sunday morning and one of their presenters (Harvey Deegan I think) phoned in to say there was a lot of fog out in the Swan Valley. He then went on to say that there were many cyclists on the road with lights etc but wearing dark colours and that they were a risk - nothing about how motorists should be driving according to the road conditions.

It seemed colder riding home from the CBD at 5pm tonight than going to work at 7am this morning.

Temperatures are forecast to dip to 4C overnight.

Agree with that. I had 8 degrees on the home thermometer when I left this morning and 10 when I got in, but this morning I had a nice light tailwind, this evening the wind was in my face and that made the difference for the cold. I'm expecting <2 degrees in the morning.

He should have also mentioned the amazing amount of drivers without their lights on at all! I couldn't believe it.
My lights are extremely bright, the rear lights in particular would be visible through the fog, if not lighting it up like a globe. However some drivers forget that they need to be able to stop in the distance they can see.

The fog was actually pretty bad - I had trouble driving and had to slow down a lot to get through it - Many drivers just keep going - and quite often it does lead to accidents.

But driver education doesn't seen to be a priority for this government -

Anyway, who turned off the heater this morning? I didn't enjoy the first half-hour of my ride in to work at all -

Twas cold this morning with airport temperature recording an "apparant" temperature of -2.8 just as I was leaving (about 5.30).
More guiling was the fact that the last thing I did before stepping outside was to put some more wood in the potbelly so wife & children would be nice & toasty when they eventually decided to wake up!

I actually got to ride home in bright sunshine at about 2pm on Wednesday, and it still felt colder than it had in the morning.
It was even colder this morning, but I had more clothes on so didn't get as cold as yesterday.

Sunday morning average temp 2.3C and dipped down to 0 for a while when the sun came up.
My feet turned to feetcicles.
And surprised to see so many people out. More than I usually come across.

There were quite a few commuters out at 7am today, and not all in heavy winter gear either!

The best of winter conditions yesterday morning ... And it seemed like most people stayed in bed! Even though the roads were still wet, it was warmish, dry and quiet 8)

Rode in yesterday and it was quite steamy.
Thunder & lightening this morning (about 5.30) so rolled over and caught the train!

Yeah, heard the thunder roll over about then, however our hot water system at home has gone on the pizzle f'shizzle, so I rode since I'd be showering at work anyway!

Radar showed it contracting to the east pretty rapidly so figured it would be OK, and it was, only a couple of moderate showers went over. Bike made a few interesting noises once it got nice and filthy, she's going to need a spa day soon I think.

Did anyone get out today? I managed a loop of the river, and somehow dodged all the rain. I sure didn't dodge that west-sou-westerly, though!

yeah, hit the camel farm with a mate, was bucketing down at about 730 when we got there. There was a momentary break so we decided to go for it. Was rather nice with the trees giving us some cover, shoes felt like they were soaking up every puddle though!

We did cut our ride short and were out by about 9, thats when the it turned real nasty!

Yep.We don't get bad weather that often so when it does arrive I see it as a bit of a challenge.

From my door at home, thru Mt Pleasant, along Como/South Perth PSP and then over to South Perth/Mends St it just rained and rained and rained. No wind or just a breeze so that was OK. Almost no traffi - cars or bikes. HOwever the walkers are obviously a tougher breed as the coffee place at Deep Water Point was doing quite respectable trade around 8am.

On the Narrows it started to clear though the air was a trifle colder. However I saw it coming in again from Nedlands, put the Pancho on again and, as soon as I was in the most exposed place I could be I got the one and only squall. It was a doozy.

So all up several hours riding, with most of it heavy rain or worse.

Rugged up and rode this morning. Sunny and pretty much wind free. How to keep one's toes warm though....
