I had my first commute in for 10 weeks this morning  (a mixture of holidays, illness and mostly working very long days). I was glad of the fleece I threw on at the last minute between my t-shirt and shower jacket and my fingers and toes were numb when I got to work. It took me 10 minutes longer than usual for my 33km, but i was taking it easy. It was pleasing to see City of Joondalup moved on my request to lower the kerb at the north end of the new section of path in Whitfords, but despite MRWA telling me they had addressed the bumps 200m north of Karrinyup Road it is as bad, probably worse, than ever.

I thought it was quite nice with minimal winds and the sun starting to show a little earlier!

4degrees in Jandakot this morning. Since it was dry, I'm just fine with that.

Was pretty nice this morning, wouldnt want it to be any colder though! I use these http://www.velotoze.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; for cold toes...much easier to get on and off than shoe covers and also takes up less space in the backpack on the way home!

It was a nice morning... Got a very nice smile from a pretty lady as I passed her at the train station shared zone and called out "Morning"...

Ahh, that is one thing I find I enjoy about bike commuting... Even if it takes an extra 15 minutes per day.

I'm lucky enough to work in a new(ish) building that has great end of trip facilities.
In the shower room there are "first in, best dressed" - weekly lockers which are cleared over the weekend to stop people hogging them - you can also apply for a permanant locker - which, once allocated you make an annual donation of $120 to a charity (therefore tax deductable).
Bike area probably has room for 200 odd bikes and mens showers 12 cubicles.

Sunday ride.

No arm warmers, gloves or shoe/toe covers.

Felt so damn good.

Last night ride through that weather was actually quite fun. Besides the flooded Burswood path.

Managed to dodge the rain on the ride home tonight after this afternoon's downpours. Rode through some big puddles though!

I managed to stay mostly dry except for the Welligton/Milligan intersection - theres a massive pond of water you cant avoid to get on the Freo PSP and my feet got soaked

I left work at pretty much the worst time, within 3 metres of leaving central park i was drenched and it continued to rain all the way home. The worst of it was in the city and as i got out further along the mitchell psp the rain eased up a bit. At least i know now my rain cover on the bag and velotoze shoe covers work really well. On the downside my waterproof jacket wasnt so waterproof!!

Rain jackets are never waterproof, so I don't bother with them.
Got fairly drenched lastnight and this morning but the temperature was lovely so it's all good.

Agree never really found a waterproof one. I have the top of the range gore one and whilst it is amazing it's not waterproof
