I rode home in the rain and then went running in the rain. It was very light. I'm not even sure I got properly damp riding home. After my run I was wetter from sweating than from the rain. It was actually good conditions for running.CXCommuter wrote:Left the office 15minutes early then got a flat- just made it home before the rain hit ... phewcasual_cyclist wrote:Looking grim out there. I was on the good bike so was more worried about having to clean it- personally would love to ride in light raincasual_cyclist wrote:I rode home in the rain and then went running in the rain. Had a long sleeved base layer on this morning.
Thought of the long fingered gloves and maybe a gilet, but I wanna keep some wiggle room for when the temp drops a little more!
Was warm enough after a couple of km's to not notice too much anyhow.
Hopefully it is not too cold for the start of 3 / 5 dams this sunday. It's gonna be a pain to figure out what to start out wearing, given its gonna warm up a bit later into the morning!

Reached for the arm warmers rather than long sleeve base layer.

Did the light "compression" base layer today- was a bit chilly in the low areas- need to pull out the "medium" gloves for a dust off.jaseyjase wrote:First morning this year to hit single digits as i left, 9.7 deg but it was a beautiful ride in, clear skies, hardly any winds.

It's mad how much the temperature can change though. I ride passed this bit of bushland each day and even though it gets the same sun and on the same elevation as my house it's consistently colder than each side where it's regular houses.
