I'm not a hayfever sufferer... I was doing some sprinting down at SHelly this evening and that was night, fair few people out training for Mandurah

Went right over the top of us- was outside hanging out the washing (weeks commuting clothes!), hair was standing up on my neck and could hear a roaring sound as it approached. Hail up to about an inch across, I love seeing these weather events, so cool the power of nature (assisted by humans excess CO2)

I nipped out for an 80km ride. Managed to avoid getting. Got home just in time as a storm was about to hit in 10 mins

Nice enough temperature out... Lovely infact.
That wind was shocking this morning, though!

Or, it might have been brilliant for you, if you were heading north I guess.

crosswinds were a little hairy, 80mm clinchers dont help either.

Heading south last night was horrific, average less than 25kmh over 27kms. Different story heading in north this morning, smashed out a near 36kmh average over the same distance.

I really missed my old commute north up to mindarie last night. Was happy about my new commute to Hammond Park this morning. I expect I'll be hating it again around 5.30pm

Agreed. I was struggling to stay in the shoulder along Moore Drive and a few other places before that. I was expecting a strong headwind to blow me home last night but it seemed to be across me rather than behind me most of the time.

Saturday - looks too sweet outside to stay inside any longer. No clouds, clean air, temperatures warming nicely. Gotta get out there. :D

One cup of tea and then I'm riding.

The wind have been bad, especially coming around canning bridge.

I think any bike in these winds, deep dish wheels or not gets blown around.

Coming up to the narrows on the south side was also bad, the wind seemed like it was coming at you at 90 degrees.

Yeah, it was... It seemed that no matter which way you turned, there was a headwind about.
Still, its a gratifying feeling when your done!

Hard slog indeed. I stopped on the return leg and my garmin edge 810 hit over 40 degrees in the sun when I stopped to help a disabled rider on a handtrike

I took the train this morning. :D I did go down to the Ride and Park earlier to put some clean shirts in my locker and was surprised just how many bikes there were given the weather forecast. Having said that, there were a couple of blokes changing out of office clothes into cycling gear at 11am - presumably heading home before the weather hit.

Yep... I think i'll be taking the short route home tonight.
Havent got a front light on either, so it'll be pretty mild and slow I would think.
