I bussed in because my bike was already at work. I left my house at 7 and it was freezing! If I rode in it would have been winter thermals.

It was lovely this morning, left at 7, was showing 11 degrees at home and was 15 in the city when I arrived. Just cool enough to warrant long sleeves and shoe covers. Plus there was a nice little tailwind for the SOR commuters, which gave me the impetus for extra effort, that gave me a bunch of PB's and an average of over 35kph over the 21kms of open path, dropped once I hit the detour and the city, but still pretty chuffed with that

I had a great ride this morning little chilly at first but not unbearable by a long shot when I left home at 5 am.........never been able to work out why but it always seems to drop a couple of degrees just as the sun is coming up :?:

Today felt like the first day of spring.

I left my jacket at home for the first time this season and didn't regret it. It was a bit chilly starting out (about 10-11C at 0645) but that's just a reason to ride harder and warm up!

Crosswind to headwind this morning with a real bit of chill in the easterly. Still significantly pleasant compared to last years September drenching

Was going to ride yesterday but checked the wind predictions and today looked much better. Looking forward to a gentle push home from the NNW instead of a headwind like usual.

You are mad CX!!!

I got bugger all sleep last night with the wind noise keeping me awake, that and it's my daughter's birthday so I had to do the present thing rather than leave early to ride the bike. Not that I would have done so today anyway!

Was okay though- couple of moments where the front wheel lost traction from a sideways blast of wind, was mostly dry too- just wished it was a bit more northerly (and swing around to southerly this afternoon)

It was windy out, but I didnt find it too bad. Front wheel caught a gust once or twice, but nothing else out of the ordinary.
Roads were mostly dry, into a bit of a headwind at times. I expected it to be worse than it turned out to be.

Mind, yesterday (Sunday) morning was fairly windy out too. Only went on a 40 odd km ride, and that ride hurt.
Felt like the headwind was chasing me, not matter which way I turned!

I am back in Perth and will be commuting in at 6am tomorrow for the first time in 4 weeks. Is it warm enough for short-sleeves and knicks yet?

will be around 12 degrees. Might need a base layer under your jersey. Short sleeved Skins are sufficient unless you feel the cold. Enjoy this magnificent weather.

Yeah it was about freezing this morning, in some places the swans looked stuck to the water, beautiful morning though

I was glad I went back in the house for a shower jacket to throw over my short sleeves this morning but it was a beautiful morning when it started to warm up. The best bit is looking over at the sardines on the train and thinking "if I had chosen to hit the snooze button that would be me".

Ditto, very nice today. Missed my train in the city so added another 10 km to my ride, along the new section of kwinana. Not much fun going against the traffic. :(

But all in all a good day for riding.

Enjoyed the strong NNW tailwind for the ride home this afternoon, 5PR's including a top 10. Makes a change from the usual SSW crosswind in the late afternoon.

similar here, except I got 50 odd records including an handful of top 10's, one of which was 8th out of 1600 odd over 22km. Pretty proud of that one
