Dodd Street, Wembley (east of the Gregory Street intersection) will be closed to ALL traffic (including bicycles) for works over the school holiday period from Saturday, 6 July to Sunday, 21 July 2013.

School in the area, so understandable that it occurs now (school holidays) Just a shame it also occurs when all the trains are down, and some of us will be using this as alternative route to avoid the Leederville station where the trains stop.

Plan ahead and avoid this location as it is a designated cycling route.

Finally, getting tired of dodging the pot holes and repairs. Hopefully it will be well drained.

The road was open yesterday, but closed this morning. Rent-A-Fence around the entire carpark with closed gates at each end.

Important Update: Roads Works – Dodd Street

The construction and upgrade of Dodd Street is now in full swing. We are expecting the road works to conclude by late August.

The general public and community will be not permitted to drive or park on Dodd Street, from Monday 22 July until further notice.

Seems to be dragging on, now into September with no indication they are doing anything to the culdesac

Fences are still up, but the gates were open both days on the weekend. It appears to be finished and all the heavy machinery is gone.

Genius'!! After all that it still floods I had a glance over at it this morning and thought I could see a pond, continued over to the Powis St path.

In the culdesac there are fresh blobs of asphalt and more white markings indicating another patch up job to be attempted

Saw some fresh markings today in front of the school which perhaps indicate some new speed bumps are on the way

Car vs Cyclist this morning on Dodd St.

From what I could tell the cyclist was heading westbound, and an eastbound car turned across in front of him to park on the south side. He had some scrapes and cuts, but ok, bike a mess.

Dodd St culdesac at Lake Monger closed this morning. Part of the NW23 bicycle route. No warning signs coming from the city side, just a flagged rope across the path:

That looks like it is a "private" closure of the path rather than something official.... If it is official then it is a disgrace because I would guess at least someone would ride straight into that!

Perhaps there was some kind of event (charity walk or whatever) on the weekend? NewStew is probably right.

The photo is taken in front of a chicane which _should_ slow some dumb speeding commuters down, so I can see no other reason for the bunting.

Regardless, that's the sort of thing that should be removed immediately as it's a trip to hospital waiting to happen*. Followed by a trip to the lawyers.

I really do need to pack my heavy duty scissors!

Was there Monday morning, gone when I rode through that afternoon. Appeared to be the councils doing. I contacted the Town of Cambridge but they never replied.

Large tree down across the Dodd St car park this morning (part of the busy NW23 route). The Town of Cambridge was already sorting it out.
