Yes, but it's been done and they took them down and then they went back up again and it's not till the end of the year.

They run several orientation rides prior to the event to encourage people to join the main ride in October.

Is on this weekend. Departing Sth Perth around 7am Saturday, over night in Pinjarra and back to Sth Perth Sunday with the first riders arriving at 11am or so,
Weather looks good for Saturday , some showers possible on Sunday, also a decent tail wind
Really really looking forward to this one. I've been training since April

Holy thread resurrection flashman!
25-35km/hr headwinds on Saturday doesn't really float my boat. Will you be doing the Saturday "Afterburner" given your lengthy training regime? Most likely will consist of another 25kms down South West Hwy to Waroona and back the same way.

afterburner? first I've heard of it... was wondering what I might do for a couple of hours after I get to Pinjarra. Question answered... or massage, shower, food and beer mmm

I attended this event (as a volunteer). It was extremely well-run and everyone seemed to have a good time on day 1 and overnight at the camp.
Camp was well set-up. Tents were provided and erected by event staff, all you had to do was roll out (or pump) up your mattress and sleeping bag.
Day 2 was more of a struggle for a lot of riders with heavy rain and strong winds.
I really enjoyed it, and have already signed up to participate next year. All I need is a bike

As a rider in the event can I say THANK YOU. The volunteers helped enormously in making this event the success it is.WAlion wrote:I attended this event (as a volunteer). It was extremely well-run and everyone seemed to have a good time on day 1 and overnight at the camp.
