Impacts to East Parade Principal Shared Pathway (PSP)‏ - PTA

Postby rolandp » Tue Apr 15, 2014 8:28 am

E-mail from PTA yesterday:
From 11pm Saturday April 19 to 5am Tuesday April 22 a diversion will be in place on the East Parade PSP in East Perth (between Summer and Bramall streets).

The diversion will allow for a crane to lift two new transformers on to Public Transport Authority land as part of a network upgrade.

All work will take place out of hours, with all diversions expected to start later than 7pm.

Minimal impacts are expected for cyclists with traffic management in place during the works.

Why
The works are part of a system-wide upgrade project which will increase Transperth’s network reliability and capacity by replacing transformers.

Note, this may also impact on other PSP's as Monday morning we were requested to dismount and walk around a very large 'transformer' near the City West Station.

PSP is closed this morning from start of PSP on East Pde (East Bound) to East Perth Station carpark. Need to cross east Pde and use footpath on Sth side (or East Pde itself).

A very very angry lollypop man is on duty... remember to smile ;-)
