Lost Bike lock on Bridal trail

Postby Viewgrl » Sat May 31, 2014 10:42 pm

Bike lock/chain lost between Sandover Rd and Bellevue on Bridal Trail Saturday May 31 around 7:30am. No use to anyone unless they painstakingly go through 9999 combinations.

Major long shot I know, but at that time of morning the trail is full of serious mountain bikers and dog walkers.

You mean the Heritage Trail Loop and in the section that they unfortunately allow horses on or much further up the hill where there is a bridle trail that crosses the Heritage Trail? I'm going to explore some of the trails in that area but don't remember any bridle trail near Coulston Rd.

PS Most combo locls can be opened in 10-15 seconds without needing to know the number, losing the lock might have done you a favour but I'll leave that for you to ponder.

Oh. Well i probably needed a better lock anyway. Im not sure what the trail is called then, but its the bridal trail around Darlington and ends near the Bellvue RSL.

I was really hopeful to get yhe bike lock back as I fear the wrath of my spouse for spending yet more $ on new bike bits.

I can take a look tomorrow. Today no one would have wanted to be on the trail, hence no replies, as the Hoka OneOne ultramarathon was on. Actually the 100km runners are probably still out there and the Bellevue RSL was only the 80km mark.

PS Call it a bridle path, not a bridal trail. One means horse poo and chewed up tracks, the other a life of servitude.

My brother did the 100km run. I'm pretty sure he would have been concentrating on running, and not stopping for a lock though.

I found this at Hillarys, looked at it a year later and cracked it in under 2 min. Was pretty shocked and impressed ;)
