My housemates girlfriend is keen on the xtracycle and has tasked me with find out how much they are and how to get one in Perth.
http://www.cargocycles.com.au/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; is listed as the aussie stockist however they only seem to stock accessories not actual bikes.
Does anyone know of a bike shop in Perth that is stocking them? Or is the only option to order one online?

I have seen one in a store (I think south perth) some years back. There are certainly a few on the streets. A ring round of the non-chain-store shops may be in orderBecker_11 wrote:Does anyone know of a bike shop in Perth that is stocking them? Or is the only option to order one online?

If you're thinking Xtracycle then you might also consider the full cargobikes.
There was a Surly Big Dummy for sale in Perth recently, they do come up. And a Kona Ute, although they're more shopper bikes. There may be an early model Ute in Guildford Cycles but a bit overpriced. Dirtworks used to be the importer for Surlys and lost that, their Clickbike website for disposals doesn't have a BD listed anymore. There's an Xtracycle bolt-on kit for sale in Adelaide, attached to a bike with a few interesting parts although you'd be better to attach it to an MTB, as seen on a few bikes in Perth. These are all what is called 'longtail' bikes as opposed to some of the other types of cargobike; there are many weird and wonderful designs about the place.
I have a Big Dummy, not for sale but. Too useful.

Turns out xtracycle doesn't sell direct to the public so I emailed cargocycles dot com dot au as they are the aust distributor but 2 days later i haven't heared a peep from them.
Calling shops is a good idea & I might call a few 2noro during lunch.

Look here
They will work with a LBS possibly to order it for you, or connect with splendid cycles.

Thanks for thinking of me however I'm no longer in Perth and currently not working so don't have spare cash for new toys.
