Close Call - Dooring

Postby flashpixx » Mon Aug 18, 2014 10:52 am

South Perth Esplanade near Frasers Lane. Riding west along the Esplanade with a 2 metre gap between me and the parked cars, the rear door of a 4WD flings open when I am almost along side. Was never going to hit but it scared the !! BAN ME NOW FOR SWEARING !! outa me!! What brought me undone was the dark tint on the windows of the 4WD, couldn't see if there were passengers inside.

Watch out people

That's a sketchy section, tradie trucks, dump trucks, vans, lots of driveways, I always do my best to ride on the white line down the middle.

Mate of mine was doored by a truck on Albany Highway Vic Park last Thursday. Door opened as he was half way past. Bit bruised and battered but no huge damage luckily. Was just taking the bike to post to its new owner. No damage to the bike either fortunately.
