Volunteer amateur 'bike mechanics' needed

Hello all

The Groat St Festival(North Beach) is a community-run sustainability festival and is being held on Saturday 25th October. They are looking for volunteers to help out with basic bicycle checks on the day.


Volunteer at the Bike Service Station (basic bike maintenance)

• At the Groat Street Festival, 25 October 2014, 9.30am – 3.00pm
• Really basic help for people riding to the festival; pumping up tyres, fixing a flat, anything else you can help with.
• It’s a free service by volunteers.
• The City of Stirling can provide basic equipment/tools (pump, tools, etc.)
• Ideally the roles will be shared between a few people so that you are only needed for a couple of hours.

For a first year event, it was well attended.

A few problem bikes came in, but they hadn't had any work done on them in years. Rust so much rust, but they went away happy.
