Postby Aushiker » Thu Nov 20, 2014 1:19 pm

22 to 23 November, 2014

The Hackett Underpass under Mounts Bay Road which connects the student colleges to the UWA Crawley Campus will be closed from 7.00 am Saturday 22 November to 6.00 pm Sunday 23 November to undertake important maintenance repairs.

Pedestrians and cyclists are asked to use alternative access points at Mounts Bay Road/Hackett Drive or the Stirling Highway/Fairway Underpass to cross the road safely.

There are no chances to access for vehicles entering and exiting the UWA Crawley Campus.

There's another underpass about 300m west up Stirling Highway. You can get to it by taking the underpass beneath Winthrop Ave :-)

Latest update ...

The section of Hackett Underpass which connects student colleges to the UWA Crawley Campus has reopened to pedestrians and cyclists. Please note however, the exit and entry ramp to the Hackett Underpass on the University side of Mounts Bay Road near the Mounts Bay Road bus stop will remain closed until 6.00 am Tuesday 25 November to undertake essential paving and maintenance works.

This morning at 7:30 half of the intersection with the Mounts Bay Road ramp had been paved, whilst the other half was fenced off. It's very narrow down there now. As usual with those underpasses just go slowly and always be prepared to stop.
