WestCycle is pleased to announce that trail planning consultant Common Ground Trails has been appointed to undertake mountain bike masterplanning in the Perth Metropolitan and Peel regions.
The Perth and Peel Mountain Bike Master Plan will guide the development of an exciting network of high quality sustainable mountain bike trails in the two regions.
Common Ground Trails was selected following a competitive tender process on the basis of their strong mountain biking background and extensive local, regional and international experience.
This project has been made possible by a $25,000 contribution from the Department of Parks and Wildlife, Western Australia and the award of two $25,000 grants by Lotterywest Grants.
Common Ground Trails will now work closely with WestCycle and a Steering Committee of representatives from the Department of Parks and Wildlife, the Department of Sport and Recreation, local government, Wamba and the wider mountain bike community.
