Enjoyed this years (did the 30km from Currambine).
A few friends and I followed the first bunch out. Average speed was pretty good considering the headwind we had. Was a bit unnerving with a couple of guys overlapping wheels and so on, but most seemed to get the right idea after a white.
Numbers did appear to be down, not surprising given last year's poor planning, increased fees and the likes.

Sounds like the one I saw, wasn't in a position to stop unfortunately.
The spacing out of the starts meant the event village lacked a bit of atmosphere as well. I left about 9:30 and a lot of the 15km riders were still crossing the river, which was a bit of a shame

What was the go with the RFID stickers? Were we all timed or was it for some other purpose?

I'm assuming it was purely for a count of participation, there is no timing on the website and there is a section stating it isn't timed, but you are welcome to use your own GPS or timing devicesdmwill wrote:What was the go with the RFID stickers? Were we all timed or was it for some other purpose?
