One of the articles:
The Kwinana Freeway Principal Shared Path (PSP) has featured in the Guardian’s list of top cycling infrastructure in the world.

The path was named as one of the best examples of cycling infrastructure alongside 12 others from across the globe including Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain and Canada.

A reader sent in a picture of the newly upgraded section of path (running from Thelma Street to Mill Point Road) after the newspaper did a call out to readers asking for photos of their favourite cycling infrastructure.

The upgrade, which was completed in September 2014, included:
•Widening the PSP, where possible, to four metres to provide a safer interaction between cyclists and pedestrians ;
•Installation of a pre-cast concrete wave deflector wall to minimise river overflow in high tidal and severe weather conditions; and
•Strengthening of a nearby sloping river wall on the bank of the Swan River.

The project also included emergency repair works to a section of decayed river wall, which partially collapsed in a winter storm surge.

The $3.1million project was funded by the State Government’s 2013-14 Principal Shared Path program (Department of Transport) and the Network Safety Improvement Program.

Perth is also fast becoming well known for being a cycle friendly city, even getting a mention in the Homeexchange.com blog as one of the world’s top ten cyclist friendly cities to visit. You can check out the full blog post.

Only problem, the Guardian article is about the Mitchell Fway PSP.

Like the new focus of the articles though and will put in a suggestion that the next one should include an update on WA Bike Network Plan.
