Forty minutes into my first ride down here at Margaret River and I have my first leaking tyre. Deja vu, last time I was here I had to patch the thing twice.
You can see the fine loose glass in the paths, the less fine on the road edges. I guess it's the party scene.

Straya day will be worse, Tuesday commute will be bad.

The glass is present because they cannot throw a half empty swan lager bottle straight out of a moving car at a lycra lout whilst driving, texting, taking a belfie/selfie all with a blood alcohol level of 0.1.
If they were licenced/registered we could dob them in (I read somewhere recently that 25% of repeat traffic infringers are unlicenced)

hehe Aside from the glass you've got to keep an eye out for the people sleeping on the path under the Lord St bridge.roller wrote:My nomination goes to the PSP between McIver station and the Claisebrook footbridge.

I had made mention of my past tribulations to my wife even before I had unpacked the unicycle.
I suspect that much the Margaret River community would think they are above the sins of the rest of the world. The lie is given by an abundance of fine slivers that accumulate in the depressions in well worn exposed-aggregate concrete paths as well as the actual road sides. While I can see much of it, it's the ubiquitious almost invisible shards that can't be avoided.
Margaret River is still a nice early morning ride. Fixed the tyre last night, all good now until the next time.

I am close to pulling trigger on these http://www.tannus.com.au" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; just a shame no WA dealer carries them to do the bastard job of fitting them. Not sure what the uni size you ride is, but could convert you to some bottle smashing of your own.

Just a day ticket which is looking at performers doing their thing. Nice but I think I'd get more next time if I did the activities week as well.moosterbounce wrote:How was Karridale Colin? Assuming you were there. Fun day out?
Bumped into a few like minded friends which is always good too.
