Bikeweek 2015

Postby just4tehhalibut » Mon Mar 09, 2015 1:21 pm

Here's the Bikewest page with all the events, Perth and regional. It is stated as 14th to 22nd March but there's events outside that including the Subiaco Bike to Work Breakfast covered in another thread.

I like the City of Armadale's MTB tour, you get to ride the Munda Biddi and Carinyah Trails and get driven up and back to Armadale by bus. Bookings obviously needed for that a few other events.

PS and don't forget the Sculptures by the Sea exhibit at Cottesloe, ends in 2 weeks also, if you're looking for rides with flavour.

I notice that tomorrow is the first event of Bikeweek, the pedal powered movies in Guildford. Looks like a pleasant evening

I miss the Pollies Ride where Mayor's of Local Councils, Politicians and other decision makers would ride different sections of bike paths, normally with hosting Council having a presentation on what that had achieved that year.

It's great that Bike Week encourages more to embrace cycling but we need that support from the top on 'the big picture'.

By $%$#^#%$& that's an ugly, ugly webpage. Edward Tufte would have a fit.

Anyone know where a LIST of the events is, minus the IOS/Windows8 "tablet design" noise ?

And to add insult to injury they make the baldfaced claim that "This website has been designed to be as accessible to as many users as possible".

Completely agree with Thoglette.
It's incredibly ugly and unusable.
