Blackwood marathon - bike leg

Hey guys

Just want to see if anyone has done this before and what the course is like and what bikes are used - am tossing up between my roadie or cross bike. I noticed there are a few gravel roads so cross could be better depending on how technical it is

I did it many years ago. And Bridgetown is where I was born!
There are no gravel roads on the cycle section (just some gravel shoulders). There's a pretty hard start up the hill from Winnijup Bridge. Then it's mostly uphill from there Go the roadie.
