Two cycling articles this weekend -

Postby cj7hawk » Sun Aug 02, 2015 10:53 pm

The first was in the west , listing cycling blackspots around Perth.

https://au.news.yahoo.com/thewest/wa/a/ ... lackspots/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
and
http://bikecrash.info/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The second was in the Sunday Times, regarding Perth councils putting their approval to the ride-on-any-path legislation changes planned this year.

Yeah, I get the irony about that second link. Anyway, I can't see riding on the footpath making any major changes, but it would be nice to decriminalize it as we all do ( and need to do ) it at times.

David.

Make that three.... Though a little different - Just a "cycling related" story.

Wonder when I'm going to need an autodefibrilator on my carry rack...

The bike crash info map was interesting. Not much along my commute route either which is somewhat reassuring. Hepburn and then Marmion is a viable car driving route but feels like a deathwish on a bike compared to using the bike paths along the freeway. I think my commute is 55% road, 45% bike paths.
When you are driving your car, you are not stuck IN traffic - you ARE the traffic!!!
