Postby paul85 » Fri Mar 18, 2016 9:37 pm
Just a quick one I am heading to Joondalup tomorrow, how hard is the cycle path to follow from Perth to Joondalup? I didn't know it existed to recently, I need to get to ECU.

It's a long ride, but here's a map to help planningpaul85 wrote:Just a quick one I am heading to Joondalup tomorrow, how hard is the cycle path to follow from Perth to Joondalup? I didn't know it existed to recently, I need to get to ECU.

All cycle path maps can be found here: http://www.transport.wa.gov.au/activetr ... /24816.asp" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Also, google has some idea ( kind of ) of cycle maps, but no idea which are bad paths to take.
Also, at ECU -
http://www.ecu.edu.au/about-ecu/getting ... lup-campus" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; - Includes details on Bike Facilities.

Not too hard. It crosses the freeway a few times, so make sure you check the maps out, particularly for Stirling, Hutton st & greenwood station.
There's some good sections, but there's also some pretty rough bits too.
Make sure your tyres are correctly inflated, or you could find yourself with a pinch flat.

My other half just said "tell em, if your directionally dyslexic wife can do it, anyone can!".
As an alternative, you might like to return via Yellagonga regional park, up Duffy st woodvale & back to the PSP through the bike path in Kingsley.

That's a really nice ride, well worth taking the diversion to break from the PSP monotony.Cycleops70 wrote:As an alternative, you might like to return via Yellagonga regional park, up Duffy st woodvale & back to the PSP through the bike path in Kingsley.
