Was talking to a colleague and she brought to my attention a number of big events happening this Sunday.
Mainly the Freeway Bike Hike, 3/5 Dams and the Mullalloo Triathalon.
As much as id like to think the extra presence of cycling events would remind motorists to be more aware of riders on the road, realistically there will probably be more annoyed drivers because of the road blockages.
I think it might be an idea to take extra care if you're riding (not in the events) on Sunday, be wary of drivers who seem extra aggro.

Hopefully they are all doing the Bridges Fun Run (now there's an oxymoron) which is also on Sunday.

I have to work on Sunday and the Freeway closure affects my commute to Pinjarra
Luckily I can take an alternative route.... and get back onto the freeway after Thomas Road.
Wish I was riding instead.

I was planning on riding down via Wanneroo Road to the city for the Freeway ride, but I suspect it'll be pretty busy at 5am given the Freeway closes at 4am. May have to stick to my usual route from Yokine...taking adjacent street parallel to Wanneroo Road.
May need to avoid social media/news for the next few days.

Yes, with the Fun Run thrown in it will be a bit of a challenging day for drivers. Definitely need to be ultra alert for aggro drivers in the coming days and avoid all social media.
