Folks,
I know of the one at the train station, but being a shocking tightwad I don't feel like shelling out 11 bucks to use it.
The situation arises as I have client meetings in the CBD once a week, and it really puts a hole in my 5 day a week commuting plan.
Unfortunately my clients are not predisposed to offering their end of trip facility for use...
Cheers,
Time

How far afield are you coming from? Is this a short term thing or a permanent thing ?

About 20km, and with luck ongoing for another couple of years...

A couple of options:Timeonabike wrote:About 20km, and with luck ongoing for another couple of years...
1. Have you got a train station closer by? If so you could ride slowly (no sweat pace) and leave the bike there. I used to do that for a while.
2. A number of buildings in town have "rent-a-desk" by the hour. Which probably provides access to the in-building bike facilities (check out "Flux" at 191 St Georges for example).
3. Have a look at gyms in town. They all have showers.
4. Consider using the pool at Beatty Park and ride slowly in from there. There's probably some similar options around.

Cheers Thoglette,
Some nice ideas there, however I shall exclude the no sweat options as riding slowly is too hard.
Let you know how it goes.

My office doesn't have end of trip facilities so I joined the nearby gym to use their shower.
Ended up using the gym as well, since I'm paying for it haha...

Cloisters has public EOT from my recollection. Was part of their DA conditions.
Unsure if it is free ( I would be very surprised if it was).
Otherwise ditto on the gym memberships.

how festy do you get?
I used to commute 20 kms each way with no change facilities afterwards except for the tap and a sink in the loos. Take a face washer, some baby wipes and BO basher and do armpits and crutch with water and then wipe and spray yourself clean. nobody ever complained I stank.
well, not to my face....
