Does anyone know if it's true that Riders Choice in Leederville have shut up shop?

Anyone have any idea what is behind it.... Just not viable in the current economic climate or something else? Will see what is happening when I am down that way tonight.

Just a thought...they really only sold Trek and Bontrager parts/accessories/clothing if I recall?
I guess you may get some perk from Trek selling just their stuff, but it limits consumer choice.

Ran into Phil on Friday and he was working at TBE in Belmont.... apparently it was just too hard to make ends meet in the current economic climate with competition from stores like TBE (ironic really) that have a better buying and bargaining power.
I meant to ask Phil but forgot - anyone know where Ash, the mechanic from Riders Choice, has ended up as he gave fantastic service and I would use him again any time.

Yes, was about to post this separately.
He has started his mechanic business from home, doing pick ups as part of the service. I always found him really great to deal with and will definitely be using his services.
He will be setting up a website and Facebook soon.

Anyone who wants Ash's contact details, please PM and I'll pass them on rather than posting on the interwebs.
Cheers!

R&D SpeedShop in Claremont posted this on Facebook:
We were saddened to learn that one of Perth's best Trek dealers had closed its doors. With this in mind we would like to offer those that bought a bike at Rider's Choice Leederville in the last 3 months the opportunity to get a free tune-up (valued at $75) in our workshop anytime between now and the 1st of April 2017. You'll need to produce your proof of purchase to take advantage of this offer.

Just joined and can't Pm, Ash was great with my trek and would recommend him to anyone.
Could you please pm me his contact details.
Got my trek domane from RC and had a warranty claim 6 months later, they were great at sorting it out. Sad to hear they have shut up shop.
Cheers

Update from Facebook;
To all our customers thank you for making Riders Choice Leederville a fantastic place to work. For the past 14 years we have enjoyed riding, racing and providing quality bicycles and are deeply saddened that it has come to an end!
In these tough times its great knowing that our competitors have got our back, so please support your local! Thank you to the shops that are posting free and discounted servicing for all RC customers.
