QV1 Bike / EOJ Facilities

Hi, anybody here work in the QV1 building?

Our work is moving in next week and have been told its gonna cost me $295 a year to park there and use the showers etc.

Can someone give me a little more detail on its set up?

or if you work there but park elsewhere etc? Not super keen to lockup on the street.

Do they supply towels and drying lockers for that fee?

QV1 bike facilities comprise three secure rooms with plenty of hooks and floor racks. Access is controlled by your qv1 access card and a PIN. Fairly secure, though bikes have been stolen in the past, though i think that is a problem anywhere in the cbd. There are plenty of very expensive bikes parked there each day.
Showers are a bit pokey. (For guys) there are three rooms of two showers each. I think there are two female showers. At 8am it used to be crowded but not busy at other times. BYO towel.
There are numerous lockers, though when I was there, there was a waiting list. They are scattered in various rooms either in the bike cages, shower rooms or elsewhere nearby. Lockers are large enough to hang trousers.
Good conditions overall, very convenient to office, shame about the annual fee.

Sheesh, for that sort of money; I hope the cashed up senior execs who only are only the occasional fair weather commuters aren't hogging the facilities! Certainly been my experience in some other buildings a good portion of lockers were merely squatted vs. actually used.

No permanent lockers yet, management says they will play it by ear. So fingers crossed.

Only 'day lockers' for now, all locked by a swipe of our passes.

My building has a locker clean out at the end of each month.

The only problem is those gym users who then use the drying cupboards to store their stinky, unwashed gym gear

Those big shiny grey /silver racks are for fendered bikes, depending how long/full your fenders are.

The bottom half would be for full lengths ones, the top ones you may be able to get away with if not full length
