City of Subiaco : Draft Transport, Access and Parking Strategy

Postby Thoglette » Sat Jun 10, 2017 10:14 am

Thanks to BWA for the heads up. The City of Subiaco has released its Draft Transport, Access and Parking Strategy
City of Subiaco wrote: The city has developed a draft Transport, Access and Parking Strategy (TAPS) to identify and affirm the strategic position of the city with regard to all aspects of transport, access and parking in Subiaco and how they relate to one another.

The Strategy will guide how we develop our parking regimes, both off and on-street, and will provide a basis for developing our public transport, road, cycling, pedestrian and other transport networks in addition to supporting infrastructure.

To ensure the draft TAPS meets the needs of the entire community for the next 20 years and beyond the city is seeking your input on the strategy

No pressure then, we have the whole weekend to respond.

Perhaps step 1 is for City of Subiaco to approve their Bike Plan - it has been sitting in draft since 2014.

They can then build the cycle lanes on Salvado Rd, which were meant to be delivered in 2010 with their neighbouring Council. As a fyi, Subiaco has a local government grant this year for planning these (again) but no state government funding in 2017/18 to build them.

Apparently it's been open for comment since 12 May. First I'd heard of it (and I was supposedly on CoSub mailing lists)
