Hope Valley/ Kwinana
Postby rkdaft » Thu Sep 21, 2017 5:40 pm
Has anyone ridden Anketell Rd from Hope valley out to freeway? My offices are being moved and will have to work some way out of the Armstrong rd area. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

As far as I know the best east-west option in the area is Thomas Rd (which has a largely off-road shared path on the South side of the road with reasonable road crossings) with the shoulder on Rockingham Rd being the safest option to get onto Thomas.
Anketell has a sometimes shoulder which I view as more dangerous than no shoulder at all as you will be expected to be out of the lane and stay out of the lane even when the shoulder disappears at roundabouts and similar pinch points (plus you are legally obligated to give way to the traffic coming from behind you when you leave the shoulder).
